This is a great family! The Wilmots are the heart of the Jamaican surfing scene. Billy (the father) has really opened up a lot kids to the joys of surfing, giving them a place to hang out, talk, play music, sleep, and learn about surfing.

Venice Jetty at Night. Not the best wave to surf but it’s close to home so I surf here a lot. That Jetty is just about the only thing that breaks up the sand and swell for about 2 miles of the beach break. Thankfully I live with in a biking distance from this jetty so I have to be thankful about that. Could be worse I guess is what I am saying… And I would like also say that on it’s day this jetty produces some good waves.

I was driving back from surfing at Rincon last winter when I pulled over at Topanga to take a couple pictures of the waves when all of a sudden this set came though. I can’t remember now but it must have been mid week cause there wasn’t many people out.
Either way this must be one of the best days I’ve ever seen at Topanga. Usually that place to bugs me, but on this day she made me proud.
